John brings an institutional approach to advising companies and personalizes the experience for each client. By focusing on his clients’ goals and desired outcomes, John structures solutions with his clients’ best interests in mind and negotiates on their behalf. John and his team differentiate themselves by acting as true advocates for businesses.
John started his investment career in 2008, and prior to launching his advisory practice in 2019, he ran high yield credit investment strategies for UBS and RBC. In this capacity, John worked with bulge bracket capital markets teams on several public/private debt transactions as well as management teams of large public/private companies.
John is an investor at heart, and to align interests with his clients, he seeks out opportunities to invest in or co-invest alongside his clients. He views each client relationship as a partnership rather than a transactional engagement.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois. He is also a CFA Charterholder. When not working or spending time with his family, John enjoys playing basketball, golf, and the guitar.
